Rak Woon Wai Jao Chai Kob (2021) is the first remake of a foreign drama in 2021 and I expect many more. Starring Vill Wannarot (Kiss of the Cobra) and Son Yuke (Leh Game Rak), this remake of Taiwanese drama Prince Turns to Frog (2005) about a cold businessman who loses his memory and falls for a village girl. The lakorn airs January 4, 2021 4 days a week on GMM One. This should be subbed by Muse.
Synopsis: Looktarn is a smart girl who made up a legend about a frog ghost to protect Chuen Chiva, her hometown, from greedy businessmen who are looking for an opportunity to invest in that village for their own sake. One day, a cold-hearted, calm, and strict businessman named Kin creates a secret plan to create a high-end luxury resort.
However, due to an unexpected accident, he lost his memory and became very kind and warm-hearted. Looktarn began to take care of him and they soon fell in love and lived very happily together. However, their happiness didn’t last long, Kin’s parent came to the village to bring Kin back with them. He gains all of his memory back. Unfortunately, Kin has forgotten everything that has happened in the village, including Looktarn. Will Looktarn be able to make Kin’s to remember her? Rak Woon Wai Jao Chai Kob (2021) is the third pairing of Vill Wannarot and Son Yuke, who also first starred in 2012’s Sao Noi and Tae Pang Korn (2017). They make a great couple and the story has enough comedy and drama in it to test their acting skills. It’s been a while since I’ve seen them both act, (I watched them last in Sao Noi and enjoyed the lakorn) so I’m looking forwards to seeing them on the small screen again.
